Avión Tequila Unveils Refreshed Packaging

Avión Single Origin Tequila has unveiled an updated bottle design and new canister for its Silver, Reposado and Añejo expressions.

The bottles remain the same  functional shape. To “signify life’s journeys,” the words “salida,” meaning departure, and “llegada,” meaning arrival, are still embossed on the sides of the bottle to provide a grip when holding.

The new packaging highlights elements of the Tequila Avión story and process, the company says. All of the blue weber agave used by Tequila Avión is grown on lands in the Jesús María area, a town at high elevation in Jalisco. The new packaging highlights Avión’s story of “tequila elevated to an art.”

“We’re excited to release a bottle that tells our unique story,” says Jenna Fagnan, president of Tequila Avión. “Our goal was to not only create a beautiful package, but also to design a bottle that is functional to anyone mixing things up behind the bar and to provide significant value to the Avión consumer.”

The bottles are now packaged in a canister complete with tasting notes, the batch number, the number of months aged in whiskey barrels. Also the canister holds the signatures of both founder Ken Austin and third generation owner and distiller Alejandro Lopez.

Tequila Avión is distributed nationally with an suggested retail price of of $44.99 for Silver, $49.99 for Reposado and $54.99 for Añejo, all per 750-ml bottle.
